Dylan Galloway is a dedicated public servant and accomplished administrator with a strong commitment to community development and public service. A native of Madison, North Carolina, by way of the Goodwill Community, Mr. Galloway is a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University (NCCU), where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a concentration in Hospitality and Tourism.
He holds a dual Master’s degree in Business Administration and Public Administration from Appalachian State University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Public Administration at the University of Baltimore.
Mr. Galloway serves as the Town Administrator for Cheverly, Maryland, where he is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day municipal operations, strategic planning, policy implementation, fiscal management, and intergovernmental relations. In this role, he works closely with the Mayor, Town Council, staff, and residents to ensure efficient and effective governance.
His passion for public service was ignited early in his career when he interned at the White House during the Obama Administration. That formative experience shaped his lifelong dedication to civic engagement and public leadership.
Mr. Galloway is deeply involved in professional and civic organizations. He is the current Maryland State President (2023–2025) of the National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA) and served as Co-Chair of the 2024 NFBPA National Conference held in Baltimore. He is also an active member and board representative of the Maryland City/County Management Association (MCCMA). As a LGIT Board member Mr. Galloway is slated to lead the organization’s Health Committee, with a focus on fostering cross-sector collaboration to improve community health outcomes.
Beyond his professional commitments, Mr. Galloway is active in community service and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He enjoys traveling, grilling, music, and hosting family and friends. He and his wife, Yalonda, are the proud parents of their miracle daughter, London Grace.
