Committees
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of Board of Trustee
officers (Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer) and
Ex-Officio officers representing the founding organizations
(Maryland Municipal League and Maryland Associations of Counties).
The Executive Committee is the steering arm of the Board, and as
such, regularly meets to review Board decisions to ensure that the
Trust is operating under the rules and regulations of the Trust
Agreements and Bylaws.

Claims Committee
The Claims Committee reviews and monitors strategy for
litigation and settlement of LGIT claims, makes recommendations to
the Board of Trustees and provides information regarding claims,
procedures, litigation management and claims loss ratios.

Finance & Audit Committee
The Finance /Audit Committee reviews and monitors matters
pertaining to the investment policies and financial activities of
the Trust and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees
regarding target fund balances, Trust financial statements and
accounting matters. The Finance/Audit Committee is responsible for
overseeing the activities of the independent auditor and
management in the areas of financial accounting and reporting,
internal controls, and legal and administrative compliance.

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee is comprised of members of the Board
of Trustees who review the status of new candidates and candidates
for reelection to the Board. The Committee submits recommendations
to the Board of Trustees.

Risk Management Committee
The Risk Management Committee reviews and monitors risk
management and loss control issues and makes recommendations to
the Board of Trustees to limit the liability of the Trust and its
members. The Committee issues the Risk Management Policy Statement
and Risk Management Guidelines.

Underwriting Committee
The Underwriting Committee reviews and monitors decisions
pertaining to Primary and Excess Liability, Property, Boiler and
Machinery, and Environmental Impairment Liability coverages and
sets premium rates for the LGIT scope of coverage. The Committee
makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees pertaining to
Underwriting matters, such as adding or deleting coverages.
